During my master’s industrial thesis with MantisNLP, I was entrusted with a single mission: to integrate the Cypriot 🌴 dialect into the AI map 🌐.

Yet, there was a twist 🎲. To achieve this, I was bound by one condition: my report had to be written in such a way that any reader could either grasp with ease or be able to apply the findings themselves on how a Large Language Model can be trained from scratch, in line with the company’s core principle of reproducibility 🔁.

Writing multiple-choice questions is slow and quietly hostile to good pedagogy 📚. Distractors are the part that breaks teachers: too close to the answer and students guess by elimination; too far and they guess by common sense 🎯.

The bet was to remove the teacher from the loop - feed in a paragraph, get four complete questions out the other side, wrong answers included ✨. A language model writes the questions and the wrong answers, then two extra checks keep the wrong answers honest: one makes sure each one uses the right meaning of the word (the animal “bat”, not the cricket bat), the other makes sure they are not just near-copies of the correct answer 🧠.

This game, rooted in Greek mythology 🏛️, casts you as a Spartan warrior ⚔️ on a perilous quest. Your mission is to advance through as many levels as possible, but each new stage is locked behind a door that requires a key 🗝️.

The path to glory is fraught with danger ⚠️. You must navigate a treacherous maze 🌀, avoiding hazards that deplete your health ❤️‍🩹 and can ultimately end your journey. To survive, you can collect bowls of soup 🥣 to replenish your strength, with each collection accompanied by satisfying sound effects 🔊.

This game takes inspiration from Greek mythology 🏛️ but gives it a unique twist 🎲. In this telling, the legendary Spartan King, Leonidas 👑, takes the place of Odysseus on a long and perilous journey home 🛶.

As Leonidas, you must navigate a treacherous maze 🌀, collecting 11 bowls of black soup 🍲 to unlock the final gate 🚪. Each bowl you collect is accompanied by an eating sound effect 🔊, and the final one triggers the iconic “This is Sparta” theme 🎵. But beware - three deadly hazards ⚠️ stand in your way, and a single touch can end your quest 💀.
